Visit The Home’s info table this week at the Roslindale Farmers’ Market

The collected school supplies will be distributed  throughout The Home’s many programs. New used construction paper, lined paper, crayons,  color markers, pencils, erasers, pencil cases, glue sticks, scotch tape and bookbags are being collected at Colorwheel  today – Tuesday 9.14.

Calling all quilters, sewers and crafters of all skill levels! American Patchwork & Quilting, Etsy, and Meetup are challenging you to join our efforts to Make a Pillowcase, Make a Difference. Make a pillowcase to give and one to keep! Your special pillowcase can provide comfort for children at The Home For Little Wanderers.

Proof will be your hostess for a evening of creativity and community. Hoosier Magnolia will be on hand to offer instruction. Sewing machines, scissors, patterns, pins, thread and gorgeous designer fabric for sale at great prices will be provided. All you need to bring is yourself and feel free to bring a friend.

Pillowcases are a great first sewing project, as well as a jumping off point for experts!

Take part in the 1 Million Pillowcase Challenge Thursday August 26th 6pm at Colorwheel Collection. Check out the  She’s Crafty! Boston Meetup for more details.

Colorwheel is bringing in the school year with function and fashion. Prep for pre-K with kiddie play packs. Pack away an afternoon treat in a robot, flutteryby or vintage ABC lunchbag.

Proof is providing the perfect  combination of  locker essentials. Stylish headbands, magnets, and locker mirrors will keep you looking smart for the semester.

Colowheel Collection is partnering with The Home for Little Wanderers, one of New England’s largest children and family services agencies, in the collection of Back to School supplies. The collected items will be distributed to grade-school aged children throughout The Home’s many programs as they prepare for the upcoming  school year.

The Home requests for grade-schoolers are new and unused construction paper, lined paper, crayons,  color markers, pencils, erasers, pencil cases, glue sticks, scotch tape, and backpacks. The collection will begin on Saturday, August 14th you can leave your donation at the Roslindale Farmers’ Market in the Colorwheel booth or at the store on 4266 Washington Street.

Community members who make donations at Colorwheel on Saturday, August 28th are invited to enjoy in-store Back to School activities and special discounts. Young visitors are welcome to participate in a special Show and Tell session at 12 noon. Shoppers will be offered 20% off the Colorwheel School Collection* when they donate a backpack  to The Home.
